Room Capacity

Welcome to our bookable Student Group Study Rooms/Pods.

Singleton Park Library has four group study rooms available for Swansea University student use only. They are located  in the centre of the Study Hall on level 3. Each room can accommodate up to six people.  The rooms are strictly for group study for 2 or more students and bookings are for a maximum period of 2 hours. You may only make one two-hour booking per day.

  • You can book a room up to two weeks in advance.  Bookings are made for 30 minute sessions, so please ensure that you select all of the times needed if booking online. You will receive a confirmation e-mail when booking is completed. You should retain this email as proof of booking.
  • There is a monitor in each room (into which you can plug your device(s).
  • Please be aware that the pods are not sound-proof.
  • All enquiries should be made in person at the Information Desk or by emailing customerservice@swansea.ac.uk or telephoning (01792) 295500.  In the event that the Information Desk is closed please speak to a member of staff at the Security Desk.

Croeso i’n Hystafelloedd Astudio Grŵp i Fyfyrwyr i’w harchebu.

  • Mae gan Lyfrgell Parc Singleton pedwar ystafell astudio grŵp, ar gyfer defnydd gan fyfyrwyr Prifysgol Abertawe yn unig. Maent wedi'u lleoli yng nghanol y Neuadd Astudio ar lefel 3. Mae yna le ym mhob ystafell i chwech o bobl. Mae’n rhaid i archebion fod ar gyfer grwpiau o 2 neu fwy o fyfyrwyr ac am gyfnod hiraf o 2 awr. Cewch archebu un cyfnod o ddwy awr y dydd yn unig.
  • Gallwch archebu ystafell hyd at ddwy wythnos o flaen llaw. Mae archebu’n cael ei wneud mewn sesiynau 30 munud o hyd, felly gwnewch yn siŵr eich bod yn dewis yr holl amseroedd sydd angen arnoch os ydych yn archebu ar-lein. Byddwch yn derbyn e-bost i gadarnhau pan fydd eich archeb wedi’i gwblhau. Dylech gadw'r e-bost hwn fel prawf o'ch archeb.
  • Byddwch yn ymwybodol y gallwch glywed sŵn o'r tu allan pan fyddwch yn y podiau astudio.
  • Mae yna sgrin ym mhob ystafell (lle gallwch blygio’ch dyfais/dyfeisiau i mewn).
  • Dylai holl ymholiadau gael ei wneud yn bersonol wrth y Ddesg Wybodaeth neu drwy e-bostio customerservice@abertawe.ac.uk neu drwy ffonio (01792) 295500. Yn yr achos fod y Ddesg Gwybodaeth ar gau, siaradwch ag aelod o staff ar y Ddesg Diogelwch.
Note: A Daily maximum of 2 hours can be booked.

Room Booking Terms and Conditions

  • To book a room you must provide your student number.  The person booking the room must be present for the session.
  • To ensure that bookings run to time, please leave the room promptly at the end of your session.
  • If you are more than 15 minutes late for your booking the room will be made available for other students.
  • The rooms are in high demand so if you have made a booking that you are unable to attend please inform the Customer Service Team as soon as possible.  
  • All users of the room are subject to the University Library's Regulations, particularly regarding standards of behaviour. Any misuse of the study room facilities may result in disciplinary action.
  • Do not make bookings for single study use - users seen on their own in any of the rooms will be challenged by staff and asked to leave the room.
  • Do not leave personal items unattended. Staff will remove unattended items.
  • Please use only the tables and chairs provided in the rooms. Do not bring additional furniture into the rooms.
  • Please be considerate of other users and the facilities. Please do not put your feet on the furniture and ensure that you leave the rooms clean and tidy.
  • Library staff reserve the right to enter the study rooms at any time and users must present their ID cards to staff upon request.
  • If there is another group using the room during the time that you have booked it, please show them your booking confirmation email.  If they refuse to leave, please contact the Customer Service Team  in person at the Information Desk or by emailing customerservice@swansea.ac.uk or telephoning (01792) 295500.  In the event that the Information Desk is closed please speak to a member of staff at the Security Desk.

Amodau a Thelerau Archebu Ystafelloedd

  • I archebu ystafell mae’n rhaid i chi roi eich rhif myfyriwr. Mae’n RHAID i’r myfyriwr wnaeth archebu’r ystafell adael ei cherdyn myfyriwr wrth y Ddesg Wybodaeth wrth gasglu’r cerdyn allwedd ystafell. Ni fydd unrhyw gerdyn ID arall yn cael ei dderbyn. Bydd y cerdyn fyfyriwr ond yn cael ei ddychwelyd i’r myfyriwr mae’r cerdyn yn perthyn i, wrth iddynt ddychwelyd y cerdyn allwedd i’r ystafell.
  • Mae’n RHAID i’r cardiau allwedd cael ei ddychwelyd i’r ddesg ar unwaith ar ddiwedd y cyfnod archebu. Os byddwch yn methu â dychwelyd y cerdyn allwedd, mae’n bosib fydd costau yn cael ei hychwanegu i’ch cyfrif llyfrgell.
  • Os mae eich archeb ystafell tan 8y.h., dychwelwch y cerdyn allwedd i’r ddesg erbyn 7:30y.h, os gwelwch yn dda.
  • Mae galw mawr am yr ystafelloedd felly os ydych wedi archebu ystafell a bellach ddim yn medru mynychu, rhowch wybod i’r Tîm Gwasanaeth Cwsmer cyn gynted ag sy’n bosib, os gwelwch yn dda.
  • Os ydych chi fwy na 15 munud yn hwyr i’ch archeb bydd yr ystafell ar gael i fyfyrwyr eraill.
  • Bydd camddefnydd neu ddifrod i’r ystafelloedd neu gynnwys yr ystafelloedd a/neu fethu â dychwelyd y cerdyn allwedd ar gyfer yr ystafell o bosib yn arwain at weithredoedd pellach yn cael ei gymryd, bydd o bosib yn cynnwys codi dirwyon neu gael eich atal o wneud archebion pellach ar gyfer yr ystafelloedd.
