Want to promote yourself as a researcher online to enhance your career prospects and research impact? 

To get ahead in today’s competitive research world successful  researchers need a professional online profile. This session will give an overview of the main online platforms available. We’ll consider their pros and cons to help you decide how to make best use of your time for maximum impact on your research profile.  

By the end of this session you will have learned about establishing your researcher identity (to claim your publications and citations) using ORCiD, Scopus and other researcher identity systems.  

You will have evaluated key research social networking sites and social media as a means of disseminating your research and raising your profile.   

You will have a strategy for maintaining your digital profile and using it to increase the visibility of your research. 

The course will run from 10.00 – 11.00 Training Room 3, Singleton Park Library

Byddwch wedi dysgu am sefydlu eich hunaniaeth fel ymchwilydd (er mwyn hawlio eich cyhoeddiadau a'ch dyfyniadau) gan ddefnyddio ORCiD, Scopus a systemau hunaniaeth ymchwilwyr eraill.  

Byddwch wedi gwerthuso safleoedd rhwydweithio cymdeithasol allweddol a chyfryngau cymdeithasol fel modd o ledaenu eich ymchwil a chodi eich proffil.   

Bydd gennych strategaeth ar gyfer cynnal eich proffil digidol gan ei ddefnyddio i roi mwy o amlygrwydd i’ch ymchwil.
